Terms of Service for Sail La Vie

1. Agreement to Terms

By booking a sailing trip with Sail La Vie, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Booking and Payment

• A 25% deposit is required to confirm your booking
• The remaining balance is due 4 weeks before departure
• Payment is non-refundable if you cancel within 6 weeks of your trip
• If you cancel more than 6 weeks in advance, 75% of your deposit is refunded

3. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing. Refund eligibility depends on timing:

• More than 6 weeks before: 75% deposit refunded
• 3-6 weeks before: 50% deposit refunded
• Less than 3 weeks before: No refund

4. Safety Requirements

• All guests must follow safety instructions from the skipper
• Life jackets must be worn when required
• Guests with health conditions must inform us in advance
• Pregnant women beyond 24 weeks are not permitted to sail
• Children must be at least 3 years old

5. Guest Responsibilities

Guests agree to:

• Treat the boat and equipment with respect
• Follow the skipper's instructions at all times
• Not bring illegal substances aboard
• Comply with all maritime laws
• Pay for any damage caused by negligence

6. Weather and Route Changes

We reserve the right to modify the route or cancel trips due to severe weather. In such cases, we will offer to reschedule or provide a full refund.

7. Insurance

All trips include comprehensive boat insurance. However, we recommend that guests obtain personal travel insurance to cover cancellations and medical emergencies.

8. Liability

Sail La Vie is not liable for:

• Personal injury or death (except gross negligence)
• Lost or damaged personal belongings
• Missed connections or travel delays
• Acts of God or unforeseen circumstances

9. Alcohol Policy

Alcohol consumption is permitted but must be moderate. Guests who are intoxicated may be denied participation for safety reasons.
